SALES-EDUCATION K-12 MARKET


Company: THE GREAT BOOKS FOUNDATION 
Location: Eastern Pennsylvania-N.J. 
Status: Full-Time Employee 


THE GREAT BOOKS FOUNDATION is an independent, educational organization based in Chicago whose mission is to help K-12 students learn how to think and share ideas. Toward this end, the Foundation offers renowned professional development for teachers and publishes collections of outstanding literature for classroom use.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY: The successful candidate should expect to call on prospective customers by phone, in person, and through various technologies, while serving and growing existing accounts with K-12 schools and districts. Creating lasting relationships with high-level educational decision-makers and helping them solve problems is crucial for success in this position. The candidate will work educational conferences, deliver presentations, and cover the territory of Pennslyvania, New Jersey, and West Virginia.


QUALIFICATIONS: 
Candidates should have a degree in education or business, and a demonstrated ability to work independently. Successful K-12, sales experience is required and previous teaching experience is highly desirable. A high-level of organizational and communication skills are mandatory, including public speaking abilities. Fluency in Spanish is also highly desirable. 


KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Demonstrated record as a self-starter with high standards for personal and professional achievement is required. Candidates should be competent with email, Word, Excel, and other basic computer applications.


SALARY AND BENEFITS:
A competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate. Only local candidates need apply. The successful candidate will be based in Eastern PA or NJ, receive a car allowance, have a home office, while maintaining both the freedom and the responsibility that naturally accompanies 2-3 days of field work per week.
